Baxter Baker attorneys Danielle M. Vranian and Gary R. Jones obtained a ruling in favor of their clients in a case before the Maryland Insurance Administration. After our clients were named as defendants in a land dispute, the firm promptly tendered defense of the case to our clients’ title insurer. When the insurer denied our clients’ claim and refused to tender a defense, Ms. Vranian and Mr. Jones petitioned the Maryland Insurance administration to review the denial of coverage. After reviewing the case, an MIA insurance investigator issued a determination letter finding that the insurer’s denial of our clients’ claim violated the Maryland Insurance Article and ordered the insurer to cover the costs of the litigation.
