Lawrence
S. Conn practices in the area of real estate, emphasizing development,
leasing and title insurance. He is a former assistant attorney general
at the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.
Mr. Conn instructs classes in Advanced Real Estate Law, Real Estate
Title Law and Commercial Leasing Law. He has authored numerous articles
on real estate law topics, and Maryland legislation including the
"Maryland Assisted Housing Preservation Act of 1989" and the "Community
Reinvestment Fund Act of 1990". He is a member and former Vice-Chair
of the American Bar Association Real Property, Probate and Trust
Section's Title Insurance and Surveys Committee. He also serves
on and is a past Chair of the Code Revision Committee of the Maryland
State Bar Real Propery Section. Mr. Conn received his B.A. from
the University of Virginia, Phi Beta Kappa, and his law degree from
the University of Maryland, Order of the Coif, where he was an Assistant
Editor of the Maryland Law Review. Mr. Conn is a board member of
the Shoshana S. Cardin School. He served as Co- Chair of the Young
Lawyer's Campaign for the Associated: Jewish Community Federation
of Baltimore and as a board member of the Baltimore Chapter of the
Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society.
